Steilacoom Homes for Sale
Named after the Steilacoom Indian tribe, this town of just over 6,000 holds one of the deepest histories in the state. Steilacoom is actually the oldest “official” town in Washington. It was the first town to incorporate itself back in 1854. Those deep historical roots can still be seen today as the town has four buildings included on the National Registry of Historic Places. The Steilacoom Catholic Church is known as the oldest Catholic church in the state and is the first Protestant church north of the Columbia River. It’s not very tough to see why early settlers took such a liking to this beautiful area if you take a moment to look out over the magnificent south Puget Sound. A wide variety of Steilacoom real estate options are available from older craftsman's to new constructions, which makes this area ideal for finding the perfect home. Many of the men and women serving at the neighboring Joint-Base Lewis McChord choose Steilacoom as their place of residence while serving. With its convenient location and natural beauty, it’s no wonder that so many have fallen in love with this waterfront town.
As always, while you browse the Steilacoom real estate below, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Mark & Mark, we are more than happy to help you find the perfect Steilacoom home!
